Dr. Portugal holds an EdD in Public Health Education and has research experience in epidemiology, theory, practice, assessment, statistics, technology, science and healthcare communication, bioinformatics, health analysis, leadership, policy, fiscal management, and research design.

Dr. Portugal is the Executive Director of the Manifest Leadership Academy. She teaches leadership and management theory to individuals who want to discover personal power for their professional leadership brand. In addition, she facilitates healthcare content creation by healthcare practitioners for healthcare practitioners and the public. 

 

She is a personal and professional life coach, peer-reviewed author, book author, university professor, PhD dissertation chair, doctoral committee member, and faculty supervisor to doctoral candidates. She instructs coursework at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels for various U.S. universities and in the United Kingdom.
